As per report, a magnitude 4.8 earthquake occurred 12 kilometres south-southwest of Piedecuesta, Colombia around 1405 hours local time on Monday (22 January), at a depth of 148 kilometres.

The earthquake is believed to have been felt as far as Bucaramanga, Santander.
