According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a likelihood of the emergence of an upper air cyclonic circulation over the North Andaman Sea around Monday (12 October). Under its influence, a low-pressure area (LPA) is likely to form over the Andaman Sea around Tuesday (13 October).
There is also a low probability of cyclogenesis (formation of a depression) over the central parts of the South Bay of Bengal and the adjoining central Bay of Bengal around Thursday (15th October).
