As per reports, Hungarian authorities have announced extensive traffic restrictions, road closures, parking bans, and transport-control measures across Budapest ahead of the 2026 UEFA Champions League final scheduled on Saturday (30 May).

The Budapest Police Headquarters (BRFK) stated that restrictions are being implemented across multiple districts of the capital and are expected to remain in effect in phases until 04 June.

• The announced measures are as follows:
• Until 2000 hours local time (1800 hours UTC) on 04 June, closures are scheduled in Budapest XIV along Olof Palme promenade between Heroes’ Square and Verona Angels Street, Heroes’ Square between Állatkerti Boulevard and Dózsa György Road, and Zoo Boulevard from Gundel Károly Road in the direction of Heroes’ Square.
• From 0000 hours local time (2200 hours UTC) on Thursday (28 May) until 2400 hours local time (2200 hours UTC) on Sunday (31 May), closures are scheduled in Budapest XIV along Kós Károly promenade, around Heroes’ Square, and Zoo Boulevard between Gundel Károly Road and Heroes’ Square.
• On Thursday (28 May) between 0800-1800 hours local time (0600-1600 hours UTC), restrictions are scheduled in Budapest XIV on the City Park side of Dózsa György Road, specifically the outer traffic lane between Városligeti fasor and Heroes’ Square.
• From 0000 hours local time (2200 hours UTC) on Friday (29 May) until 0430 hours local time (0230 hours UTC) on Sunday (31 May), closures are scheduled in Budapest VI along both sides of Andrássy Avenue between Bajza Street and Dózsa György Avenue.
