As per reports, a hillock collapsed on the on the Mangalore-Bengaluru National Highway (or National Highway 75) at Mannagundi, Kokkada village, in the Kadaba sub-division at approximately 0400 hours of Monday (28 July).
The landslide brought vehicular traffic to a complete standstill on the highway, and clearance operations are underway. The affected portion remains closed to traffic at present.
