Kolkata Traffic Police has issued a traffic notification for goods vehicle movement on account of Shab-e-Barat on Sunday (25 February) and Monday (26 February). Movement of all types of goods vehicles will be restricted from 0600 hours on Sunday (25 February) till 0600 hours on Monday (26 February). The movement will be restricted on following roads:

• Garden reach road from Ramnagar Crossing to Gandhi Maidan, Akra road, Paharpur road, Dr. A K road, Khagen Chatterjee road, Vidyasagar Setu (both outbound and inbound), Garden Reach road, Circular Garden reach road, Dent Mission road, Ekbalpur road, Dr. Sudhir Bose road, Diamond Harbour road (from Khidderpore Crossing to Remount Road Crossing).
• Strandle road, Bhukailash road, M M Ali road, Ibrahim road, Monashatala road, Satya Doctor road, AJC Bose road, Khidderpore road, AJC Bose ramp and Hastings ramp, Park Circus Connector, Sundari Mohan Avenue (CIT Road), Darga road, Suhrawardy Avenue, CIT Road from HUDCO Crossing to Phoolbagan Crossing, Manikatala Main road from EM Bypass to Maniktala crossing.
• Narkeldanga Main road, Raja Dinendra Street from Gas Street (Raja Bazar) to R G Kar road, Bagmari Road from CIT Road to EM Bypass, Acharya Prafulla Chandra road, Park Circus Connector, Syed Amir Ali Avenue, Ashutosh Chowdhury Avenue, Circus Avenue, Prince Anwar Shahi road.
• The traffic restrictions do not apply to the following:
• Emergency vehicles like – vehicles carrying LPG cyclinders, petroleum oil, Lubricants, Oxygen, Milk, Medicine, Vegetable/Fruits/Fish. Light goods vehicles having gross vehicle weight not exceeding 1600 kg (Ex. TATA ACE, Mahindra Zeeto, Suzuki Super Carry etc.) will be allowed to ply upto 2000 hours on Sunday (25 February), except Garden reach road from Ramnagar Crossing to Gandhi Maidan, Akra road, Paharpur road, and Dr AK Road.
• Port originated and Port bound vehicles will be allowed to ply upto 0800 hours and from 1200 hours to 1600 hours on Sunday (25 February). Light goods vehicles will be allowed to ply from 1200-1600 hours.
• Vehicular traffic may also be diverted from any of the arterial and / or feeder roads by the traffic police on duty as and when considered necessary on Sunday (25 February).
