According to the reports, the Khao Yai National Park authorities reported that the park will be temporarily closed to visitors from Saturday (26 September) through Sunday (27 September) following continuous heavy rainfall in the area.
The rainfall has triggered flash flooding, with some locations becoming impassable.
• Authorities also reported risks of landslides, falling rocks and fallen trees, which may pose safety hazards to visitors and the public travelling within the park.
• As a precautionary measure, the Chao Pho Khao Yai checkpoint and Noen Hom checkpoint will be closed for two days from Saturday to Sunday (26 to 27 September), preventing access to the park from both sides.
• The closure was announced on Friday (25 September).
