As per reports, Chief Minister (CM) Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the State-level Hajj camp and lay the foundation stone for the proposed Hajj House at the Kannur International Airport on Friday (09 May). Further, the inaugural ceremony would be held at the airport’s cargo complex, with Hajj Affairs Minister V. Abdurahiman presiding over the event.
• The event will also witness the official launch of Kerala’s 2025 Hajj embarkation centres in Kannur, Kozhikode, and Kochi, while the Hajj House will come up near the airport’s third gate at Mattanur.
• Additionally, to ensure a smooth experience for the pilgrims, technical training sessions were held in 11 Assembly constituencies, and vaccination camps were conducted at four major centers. Volunteers will be present at the camp throughout the Hajj embarkation period to assist pilgrims.
