As per reports, Kakao’s union is preparing for the company’s first-ever group strike after mediation talks on Wednesday (27 May) failed, giving the union the legal right to strike. Specifics regarding the timing and scope of the rally are currently being discussed.

Employees at Kakao headquarters at the Gyeonggi Regional Labour Relations Commission and four key affiliates (Kakao Pay, Kakao Enterprise, DK Techin, and XL Games) voted overwhelmingly in favour of industrial action.
