According to reports, the KakaoBank labour union will stage a general strike for five business days, starting Monday (31 August) and ending Friday (04 September). During the strike, workers are likely to abstain from work.
The strike has been scheduled to demand substantive changes from management through the ongoing labour negotiations. Its primary demand is for management to adopt a more meaningful and responsive approach to negotiations and address outstanding employee concerns. The union has indicated that continued inaction could result in further industrial action.
