As per reports, the Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chatra Dal (JCD), the student wing of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), has shifted the venue of its planned student rally on Sunday (03 August), from the Central Shaheed Minar to Shahbagh.

This change came at the repeated request of the National Citizen Party (NCP), which sought to hold its event at the Shaheed Minar on the same date.
