As per reports, feminist groups and unions are calling for a widespread mobilisation across France on 08 March, as International Women’s Rights Day approaches.
• The initiative proposes a collective strike involving the cessation of all paid work, domestic responsibilities, and consumption activities. This aims to showcase the indispensable role of women in society.
• The #GrèveFéministe collective, comprising feminist organizations and unions, will also highlight issues such as sexism, rising instances of sexual violence, and concerns over governmental support for individuals facing serious allegations against women.
