Indonesia Protest Tracker – Monday (13 October)

As per reports, the following demonstrations are expected in Jakarta on Monday (13 October)

• At 0800 WIB: In front of the Central Jakarta District Court, Jl. Bungur Besar Raya, Central Jakarta, and in front of the Curator Office/Pakuwon Tower, Jl. Menteng Atas Selatan, South Jakarta. Approximately 300 members of Serikat Pekerja Kimia, Energi dan Pertambangan Serikat Pekerja Seluruh Indonesia PT. FNG (Chemical, Energy and Mining Workers Union of Indonesia) will stage a protest demanding that the curators immediately distribute the proceeds from the sale of PT. FNG’s bankrupt assets to pay the wages of former employees.
• At 1000 WIB: In front of the Ministry of Forestry (Kementerian Kehutanan), Jl. Gatot Subroto, and the rear gate of the DPR/MPR RI Building, Central Jakarta. Approximately 100 members of Koalisi Nasional Reforma Agraria (National Coalition for Agrarian Reform) will stage a protest demanding the formation of an Agrarian Reform Agency and a special committee on agrarian conflicts.
• At 1000 WIB: In front of the Directorate General of Taxes (DPR/MPR RI Complex) and the Ministry of ATR/BPN, Jl. Sisingamangaraja, South Jakarta. Approximately 30 members of DPP AKAR, DPP PEMANTANK, and Aliansi KERAMAT will stage a protest urging authorities to investigate the alleged corruption of Bank Indonesia’s CSR funds and the alleged bribery case involving Zarof Ricar and PT. SGC.
• At 1000 WIB: In front of the Baharkam Polri Headquarters, Jl. Trunojoyo, South Jakarta. Approximately 30 members of Gerakan Mahasiswa Merdeka (Independent Students Movement) will stage a protest demanding an investigation into alleged ethical and moral violations by the Regent of North Halmahera.
• At 1100 WIB: At the Samsat Kelapa Dua Office, Jl. Gading Serpong Boulevard, Curugsangereng, Kelapa Dua, Tangerang. Approximately 80 members of Perkumpulan Mahasiswa Tangerang Raya (Greater Tangerang Student Association) will stage a protest demanding that the officers at the Kelapa Dua Samsat be held accountable for actions deemed detrimental to the public and contrary to the law.
