The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued the indicated weather alerts in the following metro cities, as of on Wednesday (30 September).
• Mumbai and Pune -No warning has been issued in the forecast or nowcast.
• Delhi, Noida, and Gurugram: No warning has been issued in the forecast or nowcast.
• Bengaluru – A yellow alert for heavy rainfall, thunderstorms with lightning, squalls and gusty winds has been issued in the forecast, while a yellow alert for light rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is active till 0700 hours (local time) as per the nowcast.
• Hyderabad – No warning has been issued in the forecast or nowcast.
• Chennai – A yellow alert for heavy rainfall, thunderstorms with lightning, squalls and gusty winds has been issued in the forecast, while nowcast updates are awaited.
• Kolkata – No warning has been issued in the forecast or nowcast.
• Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar – No warning has been issued in the forecast or nowcast.
