The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued the indicated weather alerts in the following metro cities, as of on Tuesday (29 September).
• Mumbai and Pune -No warning has been issued in the forecast or nowcast.
• Delhi, Noida, and Gurugram: No warning has been issued in the forecast or nowcast.
• Bengaluru – A yellow alert for thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour has been issued in the forecast, while a yellow alert for light rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is active till 0700 hours (local time) as per the nowcast.
• Hyderabad – No warning has been issued in the forecast or nowcast.
• Chennai – A yellow alert for thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour has been issued in the forecast, while no warning has been issued in the nowcast.
• Kolkata – No warning has been issued in the forecast or nowcast.
• Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar – No warning has been issued in the forecast or nowcast.
