The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued the indicated weather alerts in the following metro cities, as of Saturday (01 August).

• Mumbai and Pune – No warning has been issued in the forecast and nowcast for Mumbai and Pune.
• Delhi, Noida, and Gurugram: No warning has been issued in the forecast and nowcast.
• Bengaluru – A yellow alert for strong surface winds has been issued in the forecast. No warning has been issued in the nowcast.
• Hyderabad – No warning has been issued in the forecast and nowcast.
• Chennai – A yellow alert for thunderstorm, lightning, and squall has been issued in the forecast. No warning has been issued in the nowcast.
• Kolkata – No warning has been issued in the forecast and nowcast.
• Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar – A red alert for extremely heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and squalls has been issued for Ahmedabad, while Gandhinagar has been placed under an orange alert for very heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and squalls. Additionally, according to the nowcast, moderate rainfall (05-15 mm/hr) has been forecast for Ahmedabad and light rainfall (less than 05 mm/hr) for Gandhinagar, valid until 1000 hours on Saturday (01 August).
