As per reports, South Africa Weather Services (SAWS) has issued a yellow level two warning for severe thunderstorms with heavy rainfall and strong wind gusts over the eastern part of Free State, the northeastern part of Eastern Cape, and the western part of KwaZulu-Natal on Friday (05 January).
• Heavy rainfall is anticipated in parts of Gauteng, including in Johannesberg and Pretoria, on Friday (05 January).
• Isolated rainfall and thunderstorms are anticipated in parts of Eastern Cape, Northern Cape, North West, and Mpumalanga.
• Extreme heatwave conditions are expected in Central and Little Karoo regions in the Western Cape on Friday (05 January).
