As per reports, the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) released a weather forecast for Greater Jakarta on Thursday (04 January) with rainfall expected to impact the entire city this afternoon.
• The agency issued an early warning that rainfall is expected to persist from noon until the afternoon with lightning and strong winds in parts of South Jakarta, West Jakarta, and East Jakarta.
• The agency also warned of possible moderate to heavy rainfall in Bogor and Depok between noon and evening. Meanwhile, Bekasi is predicted to experience light rainfall throughout the day.
• Similarly, Tangerang City may have light rainfall this afternoon, although evening conditions will be heavily overcast.
• BMKG further issued an early weather warning of possible moderate to heavy rainfall with lightning and strong winds in most areas of southern Tangerang Regency and South Tangerang City.
