According to reports, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) released a forecast for weather in East Java on Thursday (04 January).
• In the morning, heavy rainfall accompanied by lightning is to impact Trenggalek, Blitar City, Situbondo, Pasuruan Regency, Tuban and Batu. Other areas are sunny, cloudy to light rainfall or drizzle.
• In the afternoon, heavy rainfall accompanied by lightning is forecast for Ponorogo, Blitar City, Blitar Regency, Kediri Regency, Lumajang, Jember, Probolinggo Regency, Pasuruan Regency and Magetan.
• Trenggalek, Blitar City, Blitar Regency and Lamongan are also to experience heavy rainfall accompanied by lightning in the afternoon.
