As per reports, the National Centre for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting has issued a nationwide weather forecast for Wednesday (01 April), indicating unstable weather conditions across multiple regions of Vietnam.
• Hanoi is expected to experience cloudy conditions with scattered rainfall during the day, followed by showers and thunderstorms in the evening and night, with a risk of lightning, hail, and strong winds.
• Northern regions, including Northwest Vietnam (notably Lai Chau and Dien Bien) and Northeast Vietnam, are forecast to experience scattered thunderstorms, with localised heavy rainfall and risks of severe weather phenomena such as tornadoes, lightning, hail, and gusty winds.
• Areas from Thanh Hoa to Hue and extending towards Quang Ngai are expected to witness intermittent thunderstorms during the evening and night, with generally sunny conditions during the day.
• The South Central Coast and Central Highlands regions are forecast to experience hot daytime conditions combined with evening and night thunderstorms, with potential for severe convective activity.
• Southern Vietnam, including Ho Chi Minh City, is expected to experience hot weather during the day, with scattered thunderstorms in the evening and night, particularly in eastern areas.
• There is an elevated risk of hazardous weather phenomena, including tornadoes, lightning, hailstorms, and strong winds across multiple regions during thunderstorm activity.
