According to reports, severe storms were recorded in parts of Italy on Saturday (30 August). Following are the updates of the inclement weather conditions:
• In Lombardy, between Verderio and Suisio, just 40 kilometers northeast of Milan, a tornado was reported on Saturday (30 August). The storm uprooted several trees and caused significant infrastructural damage in the region.
• In Piedmont, hailstones measuring up to eight centimeters in diameter were reported, causing extensive damage to vehicles, destroying roofs, and devastating agricultural fields.
• According to reports, a cloudburst was recorded near the border with Switzerland, in the town of Varzo in the Piedmont region. Debris flooded parts of the village, and two houses had to be evacuated.
• Moreover, on Saturday (30 August), inclement weather conditions are likely to persist in Lombardy, Veneto, Tuscany, Umbria, Emilia-Romagna, Campania, Apulia, and Calabria.
