As per reports, inclement weather forecast including thunderstorms and rainfall is forecast for parts of northern Italy on Sunday (20 April), which is further anticipated to move to the centre and southern regions on Monday (21 April).
• Red alert has been issued for the Po River in the Piacenza, Parma and Reggio Emilia plains.
• Orange alert has been issued in the Ferrara plain and coast, near the Delta. No significant weather phenomena are expected, but showers and thunderstorms are expected from the afternoon hours, easing in the evening on Sunday (20 April).
• The Regional Civil Protection Agency and the Interregional Agency for the Po River (Aipo) are monitoring the flow of the flood conditions while the Regional Operations Center in Bologna remains open.
• According to estimates by the Interregional Agency for the Po River, the river is likely to exceed the red threshold in Casalmaggiore, Boretto and Borgoforte, along the border between Emilia-Romagna and Lombardy, on Sunday (20 April).
• The Civil Protection has issued an orange alert for the Po River in Veneto. Yellow hydraulic criticality has been noted at the Fratta-Gorzone system and Padua hydraulic node.
• The Functional Centre for Monitoring Natural Risks of the Lombardy Region has issued a yellow weather alert for hydrogeological risk.
• Additionally, citizens have been warned near the areas at risk of flooding of the two rivers, Seveso and Lambro, and the underpasses.
• For Monday (21 April), partly unstable weather has been forecast especially over the central-eastern Alps and part of the Triveneto plains, in Tuscany, Lazio (especially mountain and hill areas) and over the inland areas of the South.
