As per reports, on Thursday (29 January), a new Atlantic disturbance is forecast to affect western and central France, including Brittany (Finistère and Morbihan), Normandy, Pays de la Loire, Centre Val de Loire, and Île de France, following closely after a previous system and resulting in unsettled but generally moderate weather conditions.

• During the morning of Thursday (29 January), intermittent light rainfall is expected along the Atlantic coast, particularly impacting Brittany, Pays de la Loire, and Nouvelle Aquitaine, while inland areas experience low clouds and fog.
• In Brittany, including Finistère and Morbihan, rainfall amounts are forecast to remain modest, averaging five millimetres to 10 millimetres, with no immediate concern for significant river level increases.
• From the southwestern plains through the Paris Basin and northern France, including Occitanie, Centre Val de Loire, Île de France, Hauts de France, and Normandy, overcast skies and fog are expected.
• Near the northeastern borders, including Grand Est and Alsace, occasional light rainfall or isolated snowfall at low elevations may occur during the morning hours.
• Afternoon rainfall is forecast to gradually spread eastward, affecting Normandy, Centre Val de Loire, Limousin, western Île de France, and Burgundy, though rainfall is expected to remain light and intermittent.
• By the evening of Thursday (29 January), light rainfall is forecast to cover much of the western half of France, while eastern regions, including Alsace and Rhône Valley, remain largely dry.
