Inclement weather conditions expected in parts of Eastern and Central US through Monday (18 March)

As per reports, the National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter weather advisory for parts of New York, Minnesota, Texas and Arkansas through Monday (18 March).

• In New York, snowfall accumulations of five to nine inches are expected along with winds gusting as high as 35mph in the cities of Oswego, Watertown, and Lowville. The advisory is in effect until 0500 hours local time on Tuesday (19 March).
• In Minnesota, the winter weather advisory is in effect until 1200 hours local time on Monday (18 March) as snowfall accumulations of up to one inch are expected in Hurley, Iron County including the Tribal Lands of the northwestern area of the Lac du Flambeau Band.
• In Arkansas, a freeze warning has been issued until 0900 hours local time on Tuesday (19 March) in Sevier, Caly, Howard, Little River, Hempstead, Nevada, Miller, Lafayette, Columbia, and Union as sub-freezing temperatures as low as 28 degrees Fahrenheit are expected.
• In Texas, a freeze warning has been issued until 0900 hours local time on Tuesday (19 March) for Bowie, Red River, Franklin, Titus, Camp, Morris, Cass, Wood, Upshur, Marion, and Harrison, as sub-freezing temperatures as low as 28 degrees Fahrenheit are expected.
