As per reports, the National Center for Meteorology has forecast moderate to heavy thunderstorms across parts of Jazan, Asir, Al Baha, Makkah and Madinah on Wednesday (23 September), with the potential for flash floods, hail and active winds.
• Riyadh may experience clear to partly cloudy conditions, with a maximum temperature of 42 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 27 degrees Celsius.
• Makkah may experience moderate to heavy thunderstorms, active winds and dust storms, with a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 30 degrees Celsius.
• Madinah may experience thunderstorms, active winds and dust storms, with a maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 29 degrees Celsius.
• Jeddah may experience fog, thunderstorms, active winds and dust storms, with a maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 29 degrees Celsius.
• Dammam may experience fog and haze, with a maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 27 degrees Celsius.
• Abha may experience moderate to heavy thunderstorms and active winds, with a maximum temperature of 28 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 17 degrees Celsius.
• Al Baha may experience moderate to heavy thunderstorms and active winds, with a maximum temperature of 27 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 18 degrees Celsius.
• Jazan may experience thunderstorms, active winds and dust storms, with a maximum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 31 degrees Celsius.
• Tabuk and Buraidah are forecast to experience stable weather. Hail, Arar, Sakaka and Najran may experience partly cloudy conditions.
• The northern Red Sea may experience light to moderate waves between 0.5 and 1.5 metres, with northwesterly to northerly winds at 12 to 40 kilometres per hour.
• The middle Red Sea may experience light to moderate waves between 0.5 and 1.5 metres, with winds at 12 to 35 kilometres per hour.
• The southern Red Sea may experience light to moderate waves that may become rough when rainfall bearing thunderclouds form. Wave heights may exceed two metres during such conditions, while wind speeds may exceed 50 kilometres per hour.
• The northern Arabian Gulf may experience light waves between 0.5 and 01 metre, with winds at 10 to 28 kilometres per hour.
• The southern Arabian Gulf may experience light waves between 0.5 and 01 metre, with winds at 08 to 25 kilometres per hour.
