As per reports, the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expects moderate to heavy thunderstorms over parts of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha and Makkah Al-Mukarramah, potentially producing torrential rainfall, hailstorms and flash flooding on Sunday (20 September).
• Light to moderate rainfall is expected in parts of Madinah, while active surface winds may stir up dust and dirt across parts of the affected regions and Riyadh.
• Wind speeds are expected to generally range between 15-43 kilometer per hour, with speeds potentially exceeding 50 kilometer per hour during the development of thunderstorm clouds.
• Fog may continue to develop during the night and early morning hours along coastal areas of Makkah, Madinah and the Eastern Region, potentially reducing visibility.
• The NCM warning system identifies active heavy-rainfall warnings in several governorates of Asir and Jazan, including Abha, Al Namas, Muhayil, Al Mejardah, Al Farshah, Al Birk, Ahad Rufaydah, Ahad Al Masarihah, Abu Arish, Al Aridah and Ad Dair, while orange and yellow rainfall warnings cover areas including Al Bahah, Al Mukhwah, Al Taif, Al Ardiyat, Al Jumum, Bahrah, Badr and Al Madinah Al Munawwarah.
