According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a yellow alert for thunderstorm and lightning has been issued for various districts on Tuesday (25 March).

Affected districts include West Garo Hills, East Garo Hills, Ri Bhoi, East Khasi Hills, West Jaintia Hills and East Jaintia Hills.
