As per the latest India Meteorological Department (IMD) bulletin issued at 2100 hours (local time) on Wednesday (08 July), the following weather forecasts are in effect across Kerala on Thursday (09 July):
• Thursday (09 July): A yellow alert for heavy rainfall has been issued in Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod, while the remaining districts are likely to witness light to moderate rainfall.
• As per the IMD Nowcast issued at 0700 hours and valid till 1000 hours (local time) on Thursday (09 July), a yellow alert for moderate rainfall of 05-15 mm/h and surface wind likely to be in 40 km/h in gusts has been activated in all the districts.
• No further weather warnings have been issued for Friday (10 July); however, light to moderate rainfall is expected across districts in Kerala.
