The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, squalls, and strong surface winds in all the districts of Andhra Pradesh on Thursday (03 July). The yellow alert continues to remain in all the districts on Friday (04 July).
In addition, as per the IMD Nowcast valid until 1000 hours on Thursday (03 July), an orange alert for moderate rainfall of 5-15 millimeters per hour (mph) is activated in Alluri Sitharama Raju, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, and Kakinada, while a yellow alert for light rainfall less than five millimeters per hour (mph) is activated for Parvathipurammanyam, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, East Godavari, West Godavari, Konaseema, Eluru, NTR, Krishna, Guntur, Bapatla, and Palnadu.
