As per the forecast issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the following weather conditions are expected across Punjab from Thursday (23 May) to Saturday (25 May).

• Thursday (23 May) and Friday (24 May): red alerts for heatwave conditions have been issued in Fazilka, Mukthsar, Bhatinda and Mansa.
– Orange alerts for heatwave/warm night conditions have been issued in Amritsar, Taran Tarn, Firozpur, Faridkot, Moga, Barnala and Sangrur.
– Yellow alerts for heatwave/warm night conditions have been issued in all other districts of the state.
• Saturday (25 May): red alerts for heatwave conditions have been issued in Fazilka, Mukthsar, Bhatinda, Mansa, Amritsar, Taran Tarn, Firozpur, Faridkot, Moga, Barnala and Sangrur.
– Orange alerts for heatwave/warm night conditions have been issued in all other districts of the state.
