IMD issues orange and yellow alerts for rainfall in parts of Maharashtra on Tuesday (30 September)

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange and yellow alerts for heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and squalls across various districts of Maharashtra on Tuesday (30 September);

• Mumbai and Pune: An orange alert for heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and squalls has been issued for both districts on Tuesday (30 September). Moreover, a yellow alert has been issued for both Mumbai and Pune in the IMD nowcast (valid till 1000 hours).
• An orange alert for heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and squalls has also been issued for Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Satara, Sindhudurg, Kolhapur, Jalna, Parbhani, Hingoli, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on Tuesday (30 September).
• A yellow alert for rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and squalls has been issued in Palghar, Nashik, Dhule, Jalgaon, Beed, Latur, Solapur, Nanded, and Ahilyanagar on Tuesday (30 September). No weather warnings are active in the rest of the districts.
