As per reports, an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by Naxalites exploded in Bijapur district on Monday (13 October), and three personnel of the Special Task Force (STF) were injured. The incident reportedly took place at a forest in Kandlaparti village under the Bhopalpatnam police station area when a team of security personnel was out on an area domination operation.
One injured STF personnel was given preliminary treatment and has been evacuated from the forest area.
