As per reports, Environment Canada forecasts a widespread, prolonged ice storm starting late Friday (28 March).

• The region could receive between five and 15 millimetres of freezing rain, with some areas potentially seeing more than 20 millimetres.
• Maximum ice storm is expected in Central and Eastern Ontario, between Parry Sound and Kingston.
