Hudson Yards 7 train station closed due to bomb threat on Friday (03 October)

As per reports, the New York authorities shut down the 34th Street–Hudson Yards subway station and surrounding plazas after a bomb threat was reported around 1730 hours local time (2130 hours UTC) on Friday (03 October).

NYPD, MTA, and FDNY have evacuated the station, sealed off West 33rd Street between 10th and 11th Avenues, and restricted access to nearby public areas, including exits from the High Line. Specialized NYPD units, including the Strategic Response Group, were deployed.

• Subway service on the 7 train was suspended between Times Square–42nd Street and Hudson Yards.
• As of 1900 hours local time (2300 hours UTC), the lockdown was still active while investigations continued.
• No injuries were reported; the threat is still under police investigation.
