As per reports, a section of Highway 1 in Burnaby is scheduled to be closed down for Saturday (08 November) overnight. The closure is required to allow for the overpass installation, which is being built to link Burnaby Lake and Deer Lake.
The overnight closure on the Trans-Canada Highway starts at 2200 hours (local time) on Saturday (08 November), and will be in effect until 0600 hours (local time) on Sunday (09 November).
• The closure zone extends from the Sprott exit to the Gaglardi exit, affecting both directions of the Trans-Canada Highway.
• Lane reductions will begin at 1600 hours (local time) Saturday (08 November), ahead of the full closure.
• Motorists will be detoured onto Lougheed Highway via the Willingdon, Sprott, or Gaglardi exits.
