As per reports, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has announced that heightened security measures will be in place for the ‘Pohela Boishakh’ (Bengali New Year Festival), scheduled to take place on Monday (14 April).

The announcement was made at a multi-agency meeting held at the DMP headquarters in the Minto Road on Wednesday (09 April). Further details regarding the security arrangements are awaited.
