Heightened security expected near Lauf an der Pegnitz train station due to knife attack on Sunday (30 June)

As per reports, officers at Laufer Bahnhof an der Pegnitz were attacked with a knife on Sunday (30 June) evening.

Reports suggest that the suspect initially tampered with a patrol car. When the police tried to confront him, he tried to stab the two officers, the policewoman first fired a warning shot and then shot him in the stomach. The attacker reportedly died from his injuries.
