As per reports, the Navi Mumbai Traffic Police has announced traffic restrictions for heavy vehicles on Wednesday (09 April) from 0800-1300 hours. Following are the details:

• The restriction is being implemented on account of a VIP visit.
• All types of heavy goods transport vehicles will be prohibited from entering, moving through, or parking on several critical routes during the restricted hours. Essential goods and services carriers will be exempted.
• The affected routes include the stretch from Panvel to the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) along National Highway 4B (NH-4B), specifically between Gavan Phata Bridge and JNPT in both directions.
• Similarly, movement will be restricted on the route from JNPT Uran to CBD Belapur via State Highway 54 (SH-54), from Gavan Phata Bridge to JNPT Uran in both directions.
• Additionally, the route between Atal Setu and JNPT, in both directions, will also be closed to heavy transport vehicles.
• An official notice is awaited.
