Heavy vehicles banned on Mumbai-Goa national route on Friday (05 January)

As per reports, the Raigad Collector Dr. Yogesh Mhse issued orders prohibiting movement of heavy vehicles on the Mumbai-Goa National Highway on Friday (05 January), to ensure smooth traffic flow during the Government program to b conducted at Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University at Lonere in Mangaon taluka of Raigad district. However, vehicles with essential goods are exempted from the ban.

Accordingly, the heavy vehicles from Goa towards Mumbai and from Mumbai towards Khopoli-Pali Phata up to Poladpur on Highway 584 (A), will be prohibited between 0000 hours to 2300 hours on Friday (05 January). Additionally, from 0800 to 1200 hours and from 1500 to 2200 hours on Friday (05 January) vehicles heading towards Mumbai from Goa will be diverted via the Mobile route instead of the regular route via Lonere in Mangaon.
