As per reports, the Faraja Highway Police has reported heavy traffic on several major highways in northern Iran, accompanied by rainfall and fog affecting road conditions on Thursday (23 July).
• Congestion has been reported on the southbound-to-northbound carriageway of the Chalus Road between Zangouleh Bridge and Siah Bisheh, on the Haraz Road near the Rineh area, and on the Qazvin-Karaj Freeway, particularly around the Fardis Bridge.
• Traffic on the Firouzkoh Road, the Old Tehran Road, and the northbound sections of the Tehran–North and Qazvin freeways remains generally smooth in both directions.
• Adverse weather conditions, including rain and fog, are affecting the Chalus, Haraz and Firouzkoh routes, while additional rainfall has been reported on several roads across Mazandaran Province.
• Separately, the Bandar Abbas road remains closed in the Kalat Ali area due to road conditions, with traffic diverted via the Kahuristan-Abshir (Water Source) alternative route.
