As per reports, 15 casualties have been reported in parts of Rajasthan due to disruptions caused by heavy rainfall on Sunday (11 August).

• The heavy rainfall also caused a large sinkhole, 20 feet wide and 10 feet deep, on 60 Feet Road in Mahesh Nagar.
• In Malviya Nagar, several vehicles were stranded due to waterlogging near the Nandpuri bridge, but people were safely evacuated before any major incident occurred.
• The department predicts continuous rainfall in Jaipur for the next 5-6 days.
• Due to the alert of heavy rainfall, a holiday has been declared in all schools in Jaipur for Monday (12 August).
• At the same time, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma held a meeting of officers regarding heavy rainfall and gave necessary directions to strengthen all the arrangements related to disaster management without delay.
• Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for Sawai Madhopur, Dausa and Karaula.
• An orange alert has been issued for Jaipur, Tonk, Bundi, Alwar, Bharatpur, Dholpur, Baran and Kota.
• The flag march scheduled by the members of the Congress party was also postponed due to the weather conditions.
