Heavy rainfall reported in Kolkata on Saturday (03 August)

As per reports, heavy rainfall has been witnessed in Kolkata on Saturday (03 August). The following updates are available:

• Heavy rainfall had led to waterlogging on the runway of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata on Saturday (03 August).
• The airport’s parking stands have been affected by waterlogging, with additional pumps being deployed to drain the area. However, flights have not been disrupted.
• Waterlogging has been reported on Kaikhali Road in Kolkata.
• The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for several parts of West Bengal on Saturday (03 August). The districts under the yellow alert are: Alipurduar, Paschim Bardhaman, Birbhum, Dakshin Dinajpur, Darjeeling, Howrah, Kalimpong, Cooch Behar, Malda, Murshidabad, Nadia, North 24 Parganas and South 24 Parganas.
