Heavy rainfall forecast across northwestern Ontario through Saturday (29 June)

As per reports, Environment Canada has issued special weather statements for some parts of northwestern Ontario, warning of heavy rainfall heading into the Canada Day weekend, from Friday (28 June).

• Warnings have been issued for Thunder Bay, Geraldton, Longlac, Ignace, Kakabeka Falls, Manitouwadge, Hornepayne, Marathon, Schreiber and Nipigon.
• Between 30 and 45 millimeters of rainfall is expected in these areas, beginning early Friday (28 June) and lasting until Friday (28 June) night, or early Saturday (29 June) morning.
