As per reports, a heatwave is forecast for northern regions of Vietnam following a week of cooler temperatures. Hanoi is expected to witness temperatures at 34 degrees Celsius. A stronger low-pressure area from Wednesday (17 April) till Thursday (18 April) is expected to cause a temperature rise. Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Hoa Binh, Lao Cai, Son La, and Yen Bai are forecast to record temperatures of 35-36 degrees Celsius.
Central Vietnam will also remain hot and sunny, especially in its western mountainous areas from Quang Binh to Quang Ngai provinces. Provinces from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen are likely to record temperatures of 37-40 degrees Celsius. The southern and Central Highlands regions are in the midst of a heatwave, with daytime temperatures at 35-38 degrees Celsius in the southern areas and 34-37 degrees Celsius in the central areas.
