As per reports, the National Meteorological Administration (ANM) of Romania has issued heatwave warnings, including a Red Code alert, with temperatures expected to reach up to 41 degrees Celsius during the first week of August.

• The most affected areas are expected to include Satu Mare, Bihor, and Arad counties, where maximum temperatures may reach 37 to 38 degrees Celsius.
• Tropical nights are also expected, with minimum temperatures ranging between 19 to 25 degrees Celsius, particularly in western hilly areas.
• Orange Code warnings have also been issued for Timiș, Hunedoara, Alba, Mureș, Cluj, Sălaj, Bistrița-Năsăud, and Maramureș counties, where maximum temperatures are expected between 35 and 38 degrees Celsius.
• Yellow Code warnings is issued in western and southern Oltenia, southern Banat, Transylvania, and northern Moldova, where temperatures may reach 33 to 37 degrees Celsius.
• The heatwave is expected to intensify from Wednesday (05 August) and Thursday (06 August), when temperatures could peak at around 41 degrees Celsius, particularly in western and northwestern Romania, including Arad, Bihor, Satu Mare, Timiș, and Maramureș counties.
