As per reports, the health department’s contract employees staged a protest in Hyderabad’s Koti area on Thursday (01 August) at the Commissioner of Health and Director of Medical Education (DME) offices demanding regularization of work and equal pay. The protest was called by Telangana United Medical and Health Employees Union.
The protest involved cleaners, caretakers, security and administration staff members from government tertiary hospitals, health centres, Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH) hospitals, and others.
