Health authorities issue food alert for Salmonella as of Monday (24 March)

The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) has issued a food alert to avoid the consumption of two popular snacks contaminated with salmonella as of Monday (24 March).

• The initial distribution has been to the autonomous communities of Andalusia, Catalonia, Castile and León, Madrid.
• Health authorities in Castilla-La Mancha have issued an alert for the presence of Salmonella in pork rinds from the Frit Ravich and Sun Snacks brands.
