As per reports, haze conditions have deteriorated across Selangor, with six areas recording unhealthy Air Pollution Index (API) readings as of 1630 hours (local time) on Wednesday (16 September).
• The affected areas are Johan Setia (183), Shah Alam (170), Petaling Jaya (164), Klang (160), Banting (159) and Kuala Selangor (159). An API reading between 101 and 200 is classified as unhealthy.
• Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said the state government will review follow-up measures at the Selangor State Executive Council meeting scheduled for Friday (18 September).
• He said the government would consider information from the State Health Department and other relevant agencies before determining further measures, while limiting outdoor activities was cited as one possible measure to reduce exposure to haze.
