As per reports, hailstorm, strong winds and heavy rainfall was reported in several parts of Haryana and Punjab on Saturday (02 March). Extensive damage to crops is expected in several districts, especially Bathinda. Hailstorm has also been reported in Jalandhar and Kapurthala districts.
• Punjab: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for hailstorm, thunderstorm and lightning for Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Nawashahr, Barnala, Sangur and Mansa and orange alert for the rest of the districts in Punjab on Saturday (02 March).
• Haryana: The IMD has also issued a yellow warning for thunderstorm and lightning Mahendragarh, Rewari, Gurgaon, Mewat and Palwal. An orange warning has been issued for Charki Dadri and Karnal for hailstorm, thunderstorm and lightning. The rest of the districts in Haryana are under a red alert for hailstorm, thunderstorm and lightning on Saturday (02 March).
