Grenade attack reported on police camp in Karachi as on Friday (28 March)

According to reports, three police personnel and one passerby were injured in a grenade attack on a police camp under Karachi’s Quaidabad bridge on Friday morning (28 March).

• The injured personnel were initially taken to a private hospital at Dawood Chowrangi for medical treatment and later shifted to Jinnah Hospital. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir Kashif Aftab Abbasi stated that the police camp was established as part of Eid security measures in the area.
• Counter-Terrorism Department Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Irfan Ali Bahadur stated that police were treating the attack as an act of terrorism. However, no one has claimed responsibility for the incident so far.
