As per reports, Google announced a major update on 01 April that allows enterprise users to send end-to-end encrypted (E2EE) to any user on Gmail. The feature will reportedly begin in beta mode, allowing users to send E2EE emails to Gmail users within an organization, with plans to send E2EE emails to any Gmail inbox in the coming weeks and to any email inbox later this year.

When sending E2EE emails to non-Gmail users, recipients will receive an invitation to access the encrypted message via a guest Google Workspace account, where users can securely view and respond.
